I built Autooria — a free, offline Android app to track car expenses and maintenance

Wait 5 sec.

Hey everyone! I'm a solo developer from Poland, and I've recently released my side project, Autooria, on Google Play. It's an Android app designed to keep a car's expenses and history organized in one place. The idea is pretty simple: owning a car involves much more than just paying for fuel. There's maintenance, repairs, insurance, documents, and all those smaller expenses that are easy to lose track of. I wanted to build something practical rather than overly complicated. Here's what Autooria currently offers: Expense tracking and cost statistics Fuel-ups and fuel consumption history EV charging sessions and costs Maintenance and repair records Vehicle documents and receipts Reminders based on dates or mileage Support for multiple vehicles One of my main decisions was to keep it completely offline and free. No accounts, no subscriptions, no ads, and no cloud dependency. Your data stays on your device, with manual export and import available for backups. Of course, this approach has trade-offs. There's currently no cloud synchronization, and records need to be entered manually. The app is available in English and Polish, with dark and light themes. I'd love to hear your thoughts: Would you actually use an offline car management app, or is cloud synchronization something you'd consider essential? And if you've built and launched your own mobile app, what helped you get your first real users? Thanks for taking a look! submitted by /u/autooria [link] [comments]
