NQ1! week of 11-02: sell the retest, not Friday's lowE-mini Nasdaq-100 FuturesCME_MINI:NQ1!mlc82Nasdaq futures are down three weeks in a row. On Friday they broke the September demand zone (28,816–29,053). Here is how I'm mapping the week, level by level. WHAT THE CHART SHOWS • Last week's high was 30,178 on Wednesday. The low was 28,232.75 on Friday, and the settle was 28,534.00. • Friday's selloff ran into the June–July demand zone (28,228–28,410) and the daily 200 EMA (about 28,310). Then it closed about 300 points off the low. • Friday's volume profile: POC 28,776, value area 28,435–28,960. THE SETUP I'M WATCHING (short, with the trend) • Zone: 28,816–28,960. That's the old September demand that broke Friday, plus the top of Friday's value area. • Trigger: a rejection at the zone, confirmed on a closed 15-minute candle (a double-wick or continuation pattern). If there's no signal, there's no trade. • Example: entry 28,830, stop 28,900, target 28,435. That's about 5.6 to 1. The second target is last week's low, 28,232.75. • Cancel: a 4-hour close above 28,960. THE OTHER SIDE • A 4-hour close above 28,960 that holds on the retest turns things toward 29,128–29,180, last week's value-area low and Friday's high. That trade goes against the trend, so I'd use smaller size. • Between 28,435 and 28,816, price is inside Friday's value area. There's no edge there, so stand aside. CALENDAR (Pacific time) • Sunday open: 3:00 PM. • Monday: ISM manufacturing, 7:00 AM. • Tuesday: Election Day. Results arrive overnight while futures trade. • Friday: jobs report, 5:30 AM. Levels come from TradingView NQ1! bars. The volume profile uses 30-minute volume with a 70% value area. Education only, not financial advice. Futures carry substantial risk of loss.
