Loves Only You (Jpn) (Deep Impact {Jpn}), who became the first Japanese winner of a Breeders' Cup race when taking out the 2021 Filly and Mare Turf at Del Mar, is reportedly bound for the U.S. once again, this time to be bred to Lane's End's Flightline early next year. The news was shared on X by DMM Banusy, who raced the mare with trainer Yoshito Yahagi.“Next spring, she plans to be bred to the world-renowned Flightline,” the post reads. “The overseas breeding plan that had been envisioned since his racing days is finally moving towards realization.”According to published reports, Loves Only You could continue her broodmare career in this country beyond her initial covering.A $1.4-million purchase by DMM as a yearling at the JRHA Select Sale in 2017, the full-sister to Real Steel (Jpn)–winner of the G1 Dubai Turf for Yahagi and later the sire of U.S. champion and international superstar Forever Young (Jpn)–took the first four starts of her career, capped by a narrow success in the G1 Yushun Himba (Japanese Oaks) in the spring of 2019.Placed in back-to-back runnings of the G1 Queen Elizabeth II Cup, Loves Only You was beaten just a half-length into third behind Mishriff (Ire) (Make Believe {GB}) in the 2021 G1 Dubai Sheema Classic and subsequently led home a Japanese 1-2-3 in the G1 FWD QE II Cup in Hong Kong. A 43-10 chance in that year's Filly & Mare Turf, Loves Only You surged late to create history (Marche Lorraine {Jpn} would become a second winner on the day for Japan/Yahagi in the Distaff) and closed her career victoriously in the G1 Longines Hong Kong Cup at Sha Tin. She was America's Eclipse Award-winning turf female that year.Loves Only You retired to the breeding shed with a record of 8-2-3 from 16 starts and earnings of just shy of $8.7 million. Her first foal, the 3-year-old colt Loves Premium (Jpn) (Epiphaneia {Jpn}) is a maiden from seven starts and her youngest produce include the 2-year-old colt Odio Perdere (Jpn) (Rey de Oro {Jpn}), the yearling colt by Ravir le Coeur (Jpn) (Maurice {Jpn}) and a weanling filly by the latter stallion.Loves Only You's second dam Monevassia (Mr. Prospector–Miesque), a full-sister to Kingmambo and Miesque's Song, produced seven winners, including dual Group 1 winner and broodmare of the year Rumplestiltskin (Ire) (Danehill), the dam of G1 Yorkshire Oaks heroine Tapestry (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}) and GSW John F Kennedy (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}). The female family also includes 2018 G1 Prix du Jockey Club (French Derby) winner Study of Man (Ire), a son of Deep Impact.Flightline is the sire of 15 individual winners to date, including five to salute from seven starters in Japan. The most accomplished of his Japanese-based progeny is the juvenile colt Shonan Galleon (Jpn), a winner at Group 3 level and a candidate for next month's G1 Hopeful Stakes. 競走馬時代から構想してきた海外での繁殖計画が、いよいよ実現に向けて動き出しますまた、ジェンティルドンナの全妹ダブルアンコールも帯同し、アメリカで繁殖生活を送る予定です今後の計画などの詳細は、 DMM バヌーシー アプリ内ホットラインの会員限定投稿にてご確認ください— 【公式】DMM BANUSY(DMM バヌーシー) (@dmm_banusy) November 2, 2026The post History-Making Loves Only You To Visit Flightline In 2027 appeared first on TDN | Thoroughbred Daily News | Horse Racing News, Results and Video | Thoroughbred Breeding and Auctions.
