Obviously, I think we’ve improved so much over the last couple of weeks. I think we’re more of a team, more together. We’re just performing better because we work for each other on the pitch.”Asked where the togetherness stems from, he continued: “I think the Marbella trip would have obviously helped. I think just getting to know each other better, being like almost brothers on the pitch, that’s the thing the gaffer speaks about all the time. That’s what we’ve been trying to do. The last few games, we’ve been doing that.”Gray also opened up on his goal, his third for Tottenham, and when asked whether he is now a set-piece threat given that all three have been headers, he described himself as a player who only scores headers. He said: “I only score headers now, so you could say that.”Pressed further on what it feels like to score in a dominant win, he added: “Definitely. It was a really good feeling, especially… obviously, with them having a man sent off. It’s even more important, even more difficult to break them down, because they’re going to want to defend more and everything like that. I think it’s just really important to get three wins on the bounce. It hasn’t happened for quite a long time, and, obviously, to do that is really important.”“Everyone's like brothers in the team.” 🤍Watch Archie Gray's match reaction on the official Spurs app!📲 https://t.co/buuUVai09u pic.twitter.com/wi4ho6ICWZ— Tottenham Hotspur (@SpursOfficial) October 31, 2026Gray opens up on half-time exit and celebrationGray’s afternoon was cut short, however, with the midfielder coming off at half-time. De Zerbi has since revealed the change was simply because the youngster was on a booking. The Spurs utility man admitted he was disappointed to come off early. He said: “Yeah, I was, to be fair, but I was on a yellow card, so… didn’t want to take any risks.”With three wins in a row, there is no denying that Tottenham have found some momentum, and the midfielder revealed what the mood in the Spurs camp is currently like.He added: “Definitely. I think we’re just more of a team. Everyone’s like brothers in the team. We all get on really well, and you can see that out there on the pitch, even with the celebrations, all the subs running over to the players and everything like that. It’s those little things that mean so much to us as players. I think that’s the most important thing, and that’s why we’ve been improving in the last couple of weeks.”A. The youngster admitted he had not planned it beforehand. He concluded: “No, I just peeled off like Shearer. I don’t really… I’m a bit old-fashioned. I don’t really think of celebrations or anything like that. Nothing comes to my head. I actually asked Madders, I was like, ‘What do I do for my celebration?’ He was like… I thought even now… so I didn’t do anything. I just put my finger up and ran off.”READ MORE: Andrea Cambiaso could be Tottenham’s perfect Pedro Porro back-up, but Arsenal want £34m star tooThe post ‘We are brothers on the pitch’ – Archie Gray on Tottenham togetherness after Marbella appeared first on Spurs Web.
