Roberto De Zerbi has provided a fitness update on returning stars Pedro Porro and Destiny Udogie following Tottenham’s victory over Crystal Palace.Tottenham Hotspur have had to manage a few fitness concerns over the past few weeks, but that has done little to impact their performances. In fact, Spurs have arguably been at their best during that period, winning their last three matches on the bounce against Coventry City, Chelsea and, most recently, Crystal Palace. The clash against Palace also allowed Roberto De Zerbi to hand valuable minutes to some of his returning stars.Dejan Kulusevski continued to build match fitness with another cameo from the bench, while Pedro Porro made only his second appearance since suffering an injury against Aston Villa.Meanwhile, Destiny Udogie, who has been dealing with a knee issue, also featured in the final 15 minutes after replacing Andy Robertson.Injured Tottenham playerInjuryPotential ReturnWilson OdobertKneeNovember 2026Xavi SimonsKnee2027Mykhailo MudrykAnkleNovember 2026SavioMuscularUnknownLucas BergvallKneeUnknownTosin AdarabioyoKnockUnknownPhoto by Shaun Brooks – CameraSport via Getty ImagesRoberto De Zerbi provides Tottenham fitness update on Pedro Porro and Destiny UdogieWith much-needed minutes under their belts following the clash against Crystal Palace, De Zerbi provided an update on returning duo Porro and Udogie, revealing exactly where they stand in their efforts to regain full match fitness.According to the Tottenham boss, speaking to football.london, Porro is now match-ready, although the full-back was not quite prepared to start against Palace. Udogie, meanwhile, is fit enough to continue building minutes from the bench. He said: “Pedro is ready. We didn’t take risks, speaking with him, he decided before the game, he was very honest with me. And I appreciate a lot because Premier League it’s 38 games, not one game. And with Udogie, hopefully we can work many weeks in a row. Until now, it was not possible.”De Zerbi explains Spurs turnaround in formDespite the quality within the squad, the start of the 2026/27 season was a difficult one for Tottenham, who failed to win any of their opening six matches. We were playing maybe not 90 minutes, but many parts of that game we played very well. We didn’t score. We conceded a stupid goal and then we lost energy. We lost spirit. We lost the right union between the players.“If we compare Tottenham before the national break and Tottenham after the national break, now we are playing as a team. Before the national break we were playing as many very good players, but not as a team.” Position Team Played MP Won W Drawn D Lost L For GF Against GA Diff GD Points Pts 3 BrightonBrighton9 6 1 2 24 7 17 19 4 ChelseaChelsea9 5 1 3 19 15 4 16 5 LiverpoolLiverpool8 4 3 1 11 8 3 15 6 BrentfordBrentford9 3 5 1 16 9 7 14 7 BournemouthBournemouth9 3 3 3 14 13 1 12 8 TottenhamTottenham9 3 3 3 10 10 0 12 9 Aston VillaAston Villa9 3 3 3 10 13 -3 12 10 Hull CityHull City9 2 5 2 11 10 1 11 11 LeedsLeeds9 2 5 2 9 8 1 11 12 NewcastleNewcastle8 3 2 3 12 14 -2 11 READ MORE: Tottenham receive a nibble after slashing Richarlison asking price to just £8.3mThe post 'Until now, it was not possible' - De Zerbi hands Tottenham fans a double fitness boost ahead of Leeds appeared first on Spurs Web.
