vectorworks is cad software a lot of architects, landscape people and lighting designers use. the files are a closed binary format so outside vectorworks ur only option was their desktop viewer, so i reverse engineered it to give uni students a free tool. then it got a bit out of hand. rodeo.build now has walls, doors, roofs, stairs, sheets, sections, worksheets, path traced renders, a full stage menu for lighting and set design, site context from openstreetmap, python and vectorscript, live collab etc. also an ai agent u can ask to turn a floor plan into a 3d model, it checks its own model from different angles. i dont really want to monetize it, would just be good to cover hosting, so the tool is free and ai credit is pay as u go. planning to plugin import/export support for most closed-source file formats,   submitted by   /u/Low_Conference_3805 [link]   [comments]
