PS5Upload 10.4.1 is out. The big one: in Play (Remote Play), the PS5 can now get a real keyboard and mouse from your computer, not just keys pretending to be a controller. Three input modes, kept per game (Settings › Controls, or the button on the stream bar, or Ctrl+Option+M / Ctrl+Alt+M): Controller: the keys and mouse act as a controller, exactly as before. Still the default. Keyboard & mouse: the PS5 sees a real keyboard and mouse. For games and apps that support them, the PS5's browser, and homebrew like terminals. Mixed: a real mouse, while the keys act as a controller and WASD moves. Getting in and out Click the picture and the PS5 has your keyboard and mouse. Press and let go of ⌃ ⌥ (Ctrl+Option on a Mac, Ctrl+Alt on Windows and Linux) to get them back. Ctrl+Alt with another key still goes to the PS5. The first time, a card shows you the keys. While you play, a faint "⌃ ⌥ to release" stays at the top, and the card comes back if you look like you're trying to get out (Esc twice, pushing against an edge and so on). Both shortcuts can be changed in Settings › Controls › Shortcuts. Phones and tablets A Controller / Touchpad switch over the picture: drag moves the pointer, tap clicks, two-finger tap right-clicks, two-finger drag scrolls. ⌨ opens your phone's keyboard and types on the PS5. The phone-as-controller page (the QR code one) has a Touchpad & keyboard tab too. Firmware: it works on every firmware; we tested it end to end on FW 13.60. If it doesn't work on yours, tell us (Discord or GitHub). Whether a particular game uses a keyboard and mouse is up to the game. Also in 10.4 Fixed: play time went to the wrong game when another one was left running in the background Workshop: save each output next to its source, Convert to folder for game images, and a more compact layout Upload & Install: drag to reorder the queue, archive installs check the space first and clean up after themselves PS2 emulator saves (Crux2, PS5SX2) are backed up and can be restored in Saves.
