This is a pretty common scenario. Move from a small house or apartment into a larger house and realize that there is more space to furnish and decorate. I blame lenders for approving the maximum price one can theoretically afford without taking into consideration the considerable closing costs and all the other incidences of homeownership. Then again, I blame the idiot buyers who think they can afford a home but don't realize that the mortgage payment is only the beginning of what they'll have to spend.
