Frustrated with Malta’s traffic? Now’s your chance to have your say on how the country’s transport system could improve! The Ministry for Sustainable Mobility has launched a new public survey called ‘Your Journey, Your Say’, inviting residents and visitors to share their experiences of travelling around the Maltese Islands. The survey forms part of the government’s Malta in Motion plan, which aims to create a more efficient, accessible and sustainable transport system.Participants will be asked about their daily journeys, the challenges they face and what might encourage them to use alternative forms of transport. And whether you’re stuck in traffic every morning, rely on buses or simply wish there were better ways to get around, the government wants to hear from you.“We cannot plan the future of transport in our country without listening to those who use it every day,” Sustainable Mobility Minister Chris Bonett said.“We want to hear from those who spend time in traffic, those who rely on public transport, and those who would like more options when it comes to travelling.”Dr Stephanie Bonello, who is leading the Malta in Motion programme, explained that the survey will help identify what prevents people from choosing alternative transport options. The survey opened on 2nd November and will initially run for four weeks. It takes approximately 15 minutes for residents and five minutes for visitors to complete, with the findings expected to be published early next year. The results will be used alongside existing transport data to help shape future decisions about Malta’s transport network.Want to have your say?
