What it is: BuildOff, a static site that compiles public head-to-head tests of AI app builders (Lovable, Bolt, Replit, v0, Base44, and a few others) and tallies who ranked 1st / top-3 / last. Every row links to the original test. Why: I wanted to compare builders, and every "best AI app builder" article I found was either sponsored or one person's vibes. Running my own fair tests costs ~$120/month in plans, so step one was compiling what already exists. What I found so far (8 ranked tests out of 11 sources): Replit and Lovable tie on wins (2 each), v0 has 1 Bolt has never ranked 1st but is top-3 in 6 of 8 tests 2 of the 8 tests were run by a vendor that ranked itself first, so I flag those on each card How it's built: Astro static site, a JSON file per dataset, Cloudflare Pages (free), and a tiny cookie-free counter on Cloudflare D1 so I can tell if anyone actually uses it. Total running cost: $0. What I'd love feedback on: Is "compiled from other people's tests" useful, or do you only trust first-party benchmarks? Is the tally (1st / top-3 / last) the right summary, or would you rather see per-task results? Anything confusing on the page? https://buildoff.pages.dev/?ref=rsp Disclosure: Base44 links on the site are affiliate links (I may earn a commission) and the Replit link is a referral (I get credits). They don't affect the tallies. submitted by /u/jojo-le-barjo [link] [comments]
