Brian Brobbey has signed a new deal with Sunderland amid rumoured transfer interest from Manchester United. The Dutch forward scored seven goals in his debut campaign in the Premier League after the joining the Black Cats from Ajax last summer. The 24-year-old has scored three goals this season, all of which came in the 5-3 defeat to Manchester City at the Stadium of Light in September. Brobbey had been linked with a January move to Man Utd, who are looking to sign injury cover for Benjamin Sesko, while there has also been reported interest from Bayern Munich and Como 1907. Sunderland, however, have managed to get Brobbey to sign new terms with the club which will extend his stay by a further two years until 2031.
