A good TV kitchen can make you hungry before anyone even turns on the stove. Sookie’s kitchen in Gilmore Girls is always busy, Julia Child has enough copper cookware to stock a restaurant, and the women of The Golden Girls somehow make cheesecake at midnight sound like a perfectly reasonable dinner plan. Some television kitchens are spotless, with expensive counters and carefully arranged cabinets. Others are crowded with dirty dishes, mismatched mugs, and whatever somebody left on the stove. The best ones feel like places where people actually cook, argue, eat, and occasionally make a complete mess. Here are 15 TV kitchens that make the food look even better.IMDbSookie’s Colorful Kitchen, Gilmore GirlsSookie’s kitchen at the Dragonfly Inn is packed with colorful tiles, cooking equipment, and busy countertops, where elaborate meals are prepared for the inn’s guests.IMDbJulia Child’s Copper-Pot Paradise, JuliaJulia’s kitchen features open shelving, hanging cookware, and a generous worktable, with plenty of space for the elaborate French dishes she prepares on television.IMDbCheesecake Headquarters, The Golden GirlsThe Miami kitchen has a round table, wicker details, and a collection of copper molds, providing the familiar setting for countless late-night cheesecake conversations.IMDbMonica’s Kitchen Had Everything, FriendsMonica’s apartment kitchen features turquoise cabinets, open shelves, and a refrigerator covered in magnets, with colorful dishes and accessories scattered throughout the small space.IMDbCharles’s Very Green Kitchen, Only Murders in the BuildingCharles-Haden Savage’s apartment features deep green cabinetry, orange accents, gold hardware, and patterned flooring, giving his Manhattan kitchen a particularly distinctive color scheme.IMDbThe Spellman Family’s Retro Kitchen, Chilling Adventures of SabrinaSabrina’s kitchen has dark green cabinets, an avocado-colored refrigerator, wooden countertops, and open shelving filled with jars and household odds and ends.IMDbMrs. Patmore Runs the Kitchen, Downton AbbeyThe servants’ kitchen features a huge cast-iron range, an oversized wooden preparation table, and rows of copper pans used by Mrs. Patmore and Daisy.IMDbMidge Maisel’s Retro Kitchen, The Marvelous Mrs. MaiselThe Maisel family’s kitchen features bright period colors, vintage appliances, and neatly arranged cabinets, with a dining area suited to the family’s frequent conversations.RedditBree’s Immaculate Kitchen, Desperate HousewivesBree Van de Kamp’s kitchen features sage-green cabinetry, a central island, and copper pans hanging overhead, with everything arranged to her famously exacting standards.IMDbThe Banks Family Had Room for Everything, The Fresh Prince of Bel-AirThe Banks family kitchen has an expansive layout, wooden cabinets, and plenty of countertop space, with hanging pots above its central work area.IMDbThe Pie Hole’s Sweetest Corner, Pushing DaisiesNed’s pie shop features brightly colored walls, retro furnishings, and display cases filled with homemade pies, with a kitchen where he prepares his desserts.IMDbThe Belchers’ Very Busy Kitchen, Bob’s BurgersBob works in a narrow restaurant kitchen with a grill, fryer, and stainless-steel equipment, preparing burgers while his family argues nearby.IMDbCarmy’s Stainless-Steel Kingdom, The BearCarmy’s restaurant kitchen is filled with stainless-steel counters, commercial cooking equipment, and carefully arranged prep stations used by the kitchen crew.IMDbJean Milburn’s Cozy Kitchen, Sex EducationJean’s kitchen has teal-colored walls, vintage wallpaper, and a wooden dining table, with mismatched decorative details throughout the room.FandomCooking Downstairs at the Van Rhijn House, The Gilded AgeThe household kitchen features a large wooden worktable, slate-gray trim, and shelves of cooking supplies, where the staff prepares meals for the upstairs residents. The post 15 TV Kitchens That Make the Food Look Even Better appeared first on Den of Geek.
