It is a service to society,” Bedingfield said.He encouraged recruits to take their training seriously and learn from experienced officers as they prepare to serve their communities. The visit also highlighted the introduction of a Pre-Tertiary Certificate in Policing, which forms part of the recruits’ training programme and aims to improve professional standards.Meanwhile, Commissioner Gafà spoke about the force’s ongoing transformation, including its Safer Communities, Smarter Policing strategy. He urged recruits to remain determined throughout their training, saying the challenges they encounter will help them develop the resilience needed for police work.Do you think the increased police budget will make a difference to safety in Malta?•
