But certainly, the winner of Azim-Valenzuela will put themselves in a strong position to fight for the red and gold strap in the not-so-distant future.Azim (15-0) claimed the European super lightweight strap in 2023 and has slowly been building towards a world title shot ever since. The last time he stepped between the ropes in May, he blew away former world title challenger Steve Claggett inside three rounds. Two fights prior, he laid waste to a man who once held the IBF belt he hopes to get his hands on, Sergey Lipinets.“This is the biggest fight of my career,” said Azim.“I’ve put in the hard work to get to this position, and now it’s time to show everyone what I can do. “Valenzuela is a tough, experienced fighter, and I’m preparing for the very best version of him. Azim will put himself in line for a shot at the IBF super lightweight belt if he can get past ValenzuelaGETTY“I know what’s at stake, and I’m ready to deliver. My dream has always been to become world champion. “This is the final test standing between me and that opportunity, and I’m not going to let anything get in my way.”Who is Gabriel Gollaz Valenzuela? Valenzuela (32-5-1) has lost two IBF world title eliminators previously against Subriel Matias and the aforementioned Delgado. He was broken down and stopped in the eighth round by Matias in March 2025, before he dropped a controversial split decision to Delgado last November. Valenzuela returned to winning ways in May by stopping Rogelio Laguna and is now in for a third crack at the big time.“This is a massive opportunity for me,” added Valenzuela. Francesca Hennessy, Frazer Clarke, and Hassan Azim all feature on the undercard“Adam Azim is a talented young fighter with a big future, but he has never faced anyone like me before.“I’ve shared the ring with some of the best fighters in the world, and that experience will make the difference on fight night. “I know what it takes to compete at this level, and I’m ready to show everyone what I can do. “I’m coming to London to win.
