I spent months building a Minecraft launcher, and today it left closed beta

Wait 5 sec.

CraftDock 0.7.0 is out, and it's a public beta. GitHub: Repo Download: Download Discord: Discord Installs CraftDock Setup 0.7.0.exe is the installer CraftDock 0.7.0.exe is the portable one, no install needed macOS and Linux are buildable from source What makes it different Share saves, server list or resource packs between instances with the syncing tag feature. Run a game server from the same app, with a live console, backups and auto shutdown. Join a server from an instance in one click. Its own Java per game version, system Java left alone. Config editor, screenshot viewer, 3D skin preview with capes, playtime tracking. The part I'm proudest of isn't visible: the heavy file work (screenshots, worlds, configs, servers.dat, modpack archives) runs in small native binaries with a JavaScript fallback, so a failure in one doesn't take the app down. Archive handling refuses corrupt or ambiguous modpack entries instead of half extracting them. It's still a beta, so there are rough edges. Bugs to #report-a-bug on Discord or GitHub issues. Happy to answer anything about how it's built. submitted by /u/geegamr [link] [comments]
