[For Hire] Put your site on auto! Full-Service Content Production for Tech & Software Websites

Wait 5 sec.

Since your time is precious, let’s cut to the chase, shall we? The problem You run a website about technology, software, gaming, or consumer tech. You have ideas, topics to cover, and an overflowing backlog of things you wanted to have published by (checks watch), well, yesterday. What you don’t have is time. You don’t have the hours to research unfamiliar subjects and software. You can’t spend entire afternoons writing, editing, and polishing in-depth articles. You know evergreen content, tutorials, and useful guides can benefit your site in the long run, but the daily grind keeps getting in the way. You’d rather spend your time running your business than managing the entire content-production process. Sound familiar? Well, hello! I might be able to help. The solution Delegate! Think of me as your one-person content department. You tell me what your site needs, and I’ll take care of the agreed production workflow, from research to WordPress-ready drafts. In other words, let’s put your content production on autopilot, but with an actual human at the controls: me. As “the pilot”. The “auto” part is just for show - I’ll be doing all the writing, editing, and necessary lever-pulling. A little about me: I’m a technology writer with nearly 30 years of professional experience. I’ve written thousands of published tutorials, guides, reviews, and articles, including work for MakeUseOf and Make Tech Easier. I’ve spent approximately six years specializing in data-recovery content. My usual subjects include software, Windows, Linux, data recovery, PC hardware, and gaming. I specialize in making complicated subjects understandable without making the resulting articles boring. I’ve even written SEO-oriented product copy that somehow managed to bring the Cthulhu mythos into a sales pitch for Ziploc bags. Don’t ask. It’s a long story. I’ve worked with WordPress sites for years, including website administration, publishing, and theme creation. What can I take off your hands? Depending on your needs, I can tackle the entire content-production process: Topic planning and research: Unearthing topics worth covering, researching them, and crafting useful article outlines. Writing and editing: Producing tutorials, troubleshooting guides, software reviews, comparisons, buying guides, evergreen features, and other technology content. Hands-on research: Getting familiar with (almost) any piece of software (TempleOS excluded), testing its features, and verifying instructions and workflows. Media preparation: Grabbing original screenshots, creating supporting visuals, selecting the best images, and, if needed, doing basic image editing. SEO and formatting: Concocting properly structured, search-friendly content, with apt headings, useful metadata, and optimal formatting. WordPress publishing: Uploading finished articles and supporting media to your site as drafts, ready for your review. Why not AI? Our modern LLM overlords can spit out a first draft about anything in microseconds. However, producing an article with its own voice and a distinct point of view, grounded in proper research and backed by verified information, is their Kryptonite. That’s where I crash their party, with articles that: …are grounded in factual research, with sources that can be checked. …contain instructions that actually work, rather than assuming (or hoping) they would. …are complemented by relevant screenshots and other supporting media to elevate the text. …are formatted in properly structured HTML before the whole shebang dive-kicks into your WordPress dashboard as a draft, ready to publish with a single click. So, instead of yet another prompt-generated article, you get useful and engaging content researched, written, and checked by an actual person. Yours truly. Yes, this ad’s all about me, and what I can do for you. That’s kind of the whole point, isn’t it? Would you like to provide the topics you want covered? Would you prefer we work together to decide what's best for your particular site? Is your goal to become a shark trainer? I can help with the first two. How shall we do this? Easy-peasy: Show me your website and tell me what you want to achieve. We’ll discuss topics, workload, deadlines, and the type of content you need. Soon after, you’ll receive ready-to-use articles, either by email or directly to your WordPress site as drafts. I believe it’s best to start with a single paid article, and if that proves we’re a good fit, move on to a larger or recurring workload. Will I have to sell my kidney? (AKA: “How much?”) No vague quotes. No surprises. The more research and hands-on work an article requires, the higher its per-word rate: $0.20 per word – Standard content (Basic) research, writing, editing, and light formatting (Markdown or rich text formats like Google Docs or Word), with an SEO-aware structure… …for articles, general software guides, reviews, and evergreen content based on provided briefs. $0.25 per word – Hands-on technical content Everything above, plus more extensive research, software testing, workflow verification, and original screenshots where appropriate… …for detailed tutorials, thorough troubleshooting guides, and software comparisons. $0.30 per word – Full-service content production All of the above, plus topic planning, additional supporting media preparation, complete HTML formatting, and WordPress-ready drafts… …which translates to the whole content-production process handled for you. Here be Notes: Basic screenshots and image preparation are included (where applicable) in the Hands-on and Full-service tiers. We can plan and agree beforehand on any extra costs for paid stock assets and extensive custom graphics. We’ll agree on the scope of every assignment beforehand. I also maintain a minimum effective hourly rate of $20. OK, what’s next? Send me a PM, and we’ll take it from there. We’ll chat a bit about (and maybe go over) your website, talk about what you’re looking to publish, and come up with a rough plan for how much content you need. Then, we’ll work out the details and see whether we’re a good fit.
