I’ve built so many products that are dogshit; no one uses them. simpleban.app is another one of them. I usually don’t expect anyone to use them, except for my own learning. However, I wanted to challenge myself. I’m an experienced devops/software engineer with zero knowledge of marketing or SEO, so I put myself to the challenge of bringing this website to the top of Google search for a set of specific keywords. “Kanban board for two” and “kanban board for couples” were my targets. So I started vibe coding the app but took care of the SEO part myself: understanding every single landing page, why it’s there, and what demographic it’s targeting. I’m very surprised that I was able to get to this stage in around 60 days. Now, for those two keywords in 8 languages, you’ll get simpleban.app on Google search and even in Google’s AI search. So far 31 people have signed up, and 15 of them consistently use the kanban. It’s nothing, but considering my goal, this is basically the first time someone has even opened an app I wrote, let alone used it consistently for the last 45 days. Of the 31 people who have signed up so far, 13 added their +1 to the system to manage their household tasks. I’m very curious what you think, and I’ll try to attach some pictures in the comments showing how the SEO is performing. submitted by /u/amirsadeghi [link] [comments]
