Okay… super cool discovery! I got my mini Switch controller working as a wireless page turner for my Kobo Libra Colour! No need to buy a separate page-turning remote. 🎉 I wanted to share how I did it so others can try it too! What you’ll need: A Bluetooth Switch controller BTPT (Bluetooth Page Turner) for Kobo Step 1: Install BTPT Download the BTPT KoboRoot.tgz file. Connect your Kobo to your computer. Copy KoboRoot.tgz into your Kobo’s .kobo folder. Safely eject your Kobo. Let your Kobo restart and install the files. Once installed, you should see a .btpt folder in the root directory of your Kobo. Step 2: Configure your controller Put your Switch controller into Bluetooth pairing mode. Pair it with your Kobo through Bluetooth settings. Check the Bluetooth name your controller appears under. Open the .btpt folder. Create a new plain text configuration file. Name it EXACTLY what your controller is called in Bluetooth settings. Capitalization and spaces matter! Do NOT add a .txt extension. Step 3: Add the button mappings Put the following code into your config file prevPage EV_KEY BTN_THUMBR 0 nextPage EV_KEY 319 0 prevPage EV_KEY BTN_NORTH 0 nextPage EV_KEY BTN_SOUTH 0 Save the file and reconnect your controller if necessary. That’s it! You should now be able to use your mini Switch controller to turn pages on your Kobo! The most important thing is that your configuration filename must match YOUR controller’s Bluetooth name exactly. Mine showed up as Pro Controller, but yours may be different. Happy reading! 💚✨🦇👻 submitted by /u/Lacieteee to r/koreader [link] [comments]
