I was looking back at some AEW clips from the past few years and the whole MJF / Adam Cole storyline was one I was quite invested in. The whole Better than you BayBay tag team to Cole's betrayal was done really well, and coulda been another top tier rivalry like Swerve / Hangers, but it faced repeat issues due to Cole's injuries and was ultimately pretty much unfortunately abandoned due to Cole's retirement from said injuries and concussion. Another one was the whole Asuka / Kairi one WWE was building up and the Kairi face turn could've been dope, that abruptly ended at almost the final stretch due to Kairi being released by wwe which was a mind boggling decision. What other major storylines or rivalries were abruptly cut short or had to be abandoned to due to injuries, releases, untimely death, allegations, etc. but could have been great?   submitted by   /u/DZeal [link]   [comments]
