So I built a free webapp that I actually use very activly on my own and some friends and family actually use it as well. So I decided to release it on producthunt as well and it was an absolute horrible experience. I got bombarded my people wanting to sell me upvotes and now since the release I continue to get asks for content publications for small fees. I mean its a free app, and all, so I don’t plan on paying anyone for it. Also from producthunt I got zero new users besides some traffic. All accounts that tried to get access were bots and spammers. I will continue to build the app and share it, but would never go to producthunt again. Anyone shared any similar experiences? And sorry if this is the wrong community. submitted by /u/codebryo [link] [comments]
