bokken : TUI tool for practicing Leetcode without browser distraction

Wait 5 sec.

Whenever i opened Leetcode to solve problems, it was always me procrastinating about the problem, opening youtube and sometimes using ai to solve the problem. To keep this aside, i built a TUI app named bokken with a timer and a side by side editor (whatever you have installed). What it does: - Shows the problem in a full-screen TUI and opens your own terminal editor (vim, nvim, helix, micro, nano…) in a split next to it - The split uses tmux, Windows Terminal or WezTerm. In other terminals the editor takes the full screen and the timer keeps running in the tab title - A timer that only counts active time, so breaks don't count. - Hints for you (don't get discouraged) , plus /run and /submit once you log in - Local stats by topic and difficulty, and /next to suggest what to practice. - Shell commands too: bokken stats, bokken list dp medium unsolved, with --json output There's an optional AI hint feature (bring your own key, or local with Ollama), but everything above works without it. How to try it: Node.js 22.13 or newer npm install -g u/shiotagi/bokken bokken npm: https://www.npmjs.com/package/@shiotagi/bokken Feedback welcome, especially on how the split behaves in your terminal. Go check it out submitted by /u/shiotagi [link] [comments]
