Helloooo anyone who makes music! I'm one of the directors for Theatre eXceptional, a small nonprofit theatre company in the Tampa Bay area that does professional performance opportunities for adults with disabilities. We're preparing for our advanced actors production of Working (Localized Version), and our vision is to make it feel almost like a documentary brought to life onstage, incorporating stories from our own community and celebrating the people behind the work. Especially since people with disabilities are ofter overlooked in the workforce. Here's where I could use some help! We recently purchased the rights through MTI and discovered that this version doesn't come with rehearsal or performance accompaniment tracks. Not exactly an expense we'd planned for, and we certainly cannot afford an accompanist for all rehearsals and performances. I'm hoping to find a pianist or music producer who could help us record instrumental tracks for the show, ideally the full score, but we'll take whatever we can get. We'll have access to digital music materials through MTI, which we can provide as a reference. I'm still waiting on our budget for this since it was an unexpected expense, but we absolutely want to respect people's time and talent! If anyone would be willing to help at a discounted rate or point us toward an affordable option, we'd be incredibly grateful. We'd also be happy to recognize your contribution in our show program, website, socials, whatever you want. If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, or you know someone who might be, please PM me. Thank you! ❤️ TL;DR: Small nonprofit theatre for adults with disabilities is looking for a pianist or music producer to help create instrumental backing tracks for Working (Localized Version). Hoping to find someone willing to offer a nonprofit discount or recommend an affordable option. Budget TBD, and we'd love to give you credit in our program! submitted by /u/veniamvidebo [link] [comments]
