Sharing a fairly niche project: Tempera, my acoustic piano tuner for iPhone. The interesting part is the tuning target. A piano's stiff strings have overtones that aren't exact multiples of the fundamental, so tuning involves a stretch curve across the keyboard. Tempera samples the instrument to build a piano-specific curve, then gives you a live strobe and cents display while tuning. It also keeps separate piano profiles and exports PDF tuning reports. It's aimed at people who tune pianos or are learning that skill with an instructor. I'd appreciate feedback on the App Store page: does it explain that workflow clearly enough to decide whether the app is relevant to you? If you already tune, feedback on the sampling and strobe would be even more useful. Basic live tuning has a free 10-minute preview. Continued tuning and the advanced tools are paid: US $9.99/month, $19.99/year or $29.99 lifetime. Regional prices vary. iOS 18+. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/piano-tuner-tempera/id6760261505 submitted by /u/Valuable_Clothes_125 [link] [comments]
