Me and my team built a money app that also preps your taxes

Wait 5 sec.

Hey r/SideProject I'm Armin, from San Jose. Me and my team havebeen building Countorra, a money + tax app for people in the US. The problem I kept running into: budgeting apps show you where your money went, but nobody tells you until April that you'll owe the IRS. And managing everything across 5 different apps felt like a second job. What it does: - Connects your bank, card and investment accounts in one place - Sorts your transactions into categories automatically - Calculates from every paycheck whether you'll owe or get a refund in April, and tells you exactly what to change on your W-4 - Finds your subscriptions, and can help cancel them (only with your approval) - "Ask Countorra": ask questions about your money in plain English ("how much did I spend on food last month?") Stack, if anyone's curious: Next.js, Supabase, Plaid, Stripe, with an iPhone app coming soon. I'm looking for 20 people to try it free and tell me honestly what's confusing, broken or missing. No card needed. Comment or DM me and I'll send you a code. Brutal feedback welcome submitted by /u/Delicious_Pea420 [link] [comments]
