Male nurse here. Yea. Sometimes I feel like because I'm not regaling stories about a trauma emergency in the ED where I had to stop the bleeding with my bare hands, while at the same time performing CPR, and intubating with my feet, I'm just not in the cool crowd for careers. Honestly, even if I was, I just don't even want to talk about it outside of work. My friend often jabs at me that I clean old men. Yea, maybe sometimes but it's also not the only thing I'd do. Another was telling me about his landlord who is so stupid all he has is his BSN..."he's just an RN!." I was like ok, what's wrong with that? There also seems to be some kind financial misunderstanding. As if I'm nearly broke. No, I'm not making software engineer money, but I'm also just fine. Is it just me out here? submitted by /u/One-Variation-8939 [link] [comments]
