I’ve been DMing wedding planners about my app and almost nobody replies. What am I doing wrong?

Wait 5 sec.

I made a QR camera for weddings and events. Guests scan a card on the table, take photos in their phone’s browser (no app), and everything goes into one album for the couple. I first built it for my own wedding in September and now I’m trying to get it used at other events. I think event planners are the best way in, because one planner does lots of weddings a year. So I’ve been finding planners on Instagram and messaging them one by one. So far I’ve sent 60 messages and got 2 replies, and none said yes. This is roughly what I send: “Hi [name], I loved [something] you posted last week. I made a small QR camera for weddings: guests scan a card on the table, take photos on their own phone with no app, and everything lands in one private album for the couple. I first used it at my own wedding in September. I’d love to give one of your couples a free full plan for their next event, just for your honest opinion afterwards. Could I send you a video of how it works?” A few things I’m not sure about: is Instagram DM the wrong place? should I email or walk into their office instead is offering it free making it look less serious should I go after venues or photographers instead of planners If you’ve sold to small businesses like this, I’d really like to hear what worked for you. submitted by /u/Master_Huckleberry21 [link] [comments]
