INTC: First Retest of a 25-Year Ceiling After a 50% PullbackIntel CorporationBATS:INTCTechnical-TradesA 25-year ceiling just got broken, and the 50% pullback that followed has brought price right back to test it from above. What I'm seeing Weekly chart, log scale, three decades of Intel. The ceiling: the 2000 all-time high zone capped price for 25 years. The 2020–21 retest stalled inside it, and the rejection that followed took price down more than 70% into the 2024–25 lows. The macro floor: those 2024–25 lows held above the 2009 low. That's a higher low formed 16 years apart, and it keeps the macro trend intact. The breakout and pullback: in 2026 price broke through the ceiling and ran to roughly 150, then pulled back more than 50%. This is the first attempt to hold the old all-time high as support. The volume: the run from 75 to 150 built almost no volume. The zone is the first shelf with real trading history underneath it. The momentum: RSI cooled from 90 to 39. The overbought extreme has fully reset without price losing the zone yet. Why it matters This is the textbook flip test: a 25-year ceiling, tested from above for the first time. The fast pullback through an air pocket into the first real volume shelf is exactly how a strong level gets tested. The last time price met this zone, it was rejected hard. This time price is on the other side of it. What I expect next — Constructive: weekly closes hold at or above the zone, RSI bases around these levels, and the retest becomes the higher low. The old ceiling becomes the new floor. — Invalidation: a sustained weekly close back below the zone. The breakout failed, price is back inside the 25-year range, and the air pocket below the zone becomes the risk. The weekly close against the zone is the tell.
