Feeling alone in STL? No one to talk to? Here's an invite. (PART II)

Wait 5 sec.

Hello, All - Your friendly neighborhood Joseph, here. A couple months ago I sent out an open invite to join me outside of the Art Gallery @ 1112 Wash Ave. There was an 'extra chair' for any & all who needed it. The number of folks who took me up on the offer were many, including a beautiful person who had no one to spend their birthday with and another beautiful person who was struggling with suicidal ideations. I greatly enjoyed meeting all who came and the conversations we had. Thank you. : ) Often the advice to those who are struggling to build new friendships in STL is to find a cause you care about and volunteer. Well, I've got an AMAZING volunteer opportunity for you that doubles as an STL social meet & greet. This coming Saturday, Nov. 7th - a friend of mine has constructed a Volunteer Community Cleanup Day in DT STL - focusing on a 2-block radius of Wash Ave from Tucker Blvd to 14th St & Lucas Park (across the street from the Central Library). Along with the cleanup activities, we're starting with a 30 minute coffee social @ Coffeestamp (free drip coffee for volunteers) then later, a meet your STL neighbors lunch at Rosalita's where all volunteers get 30% off. WHEN: Saturday, Nov. 7th > 10 am to 4:30 pm (Join in when you can!) WHERE: We'll first meet up @ Coffeestamp: 1228 Wash Ave WHY: The Volunteer Community Cleanup Day is Phase 1 of the 'Wash Ave REFRESH!' - a multi-phase effort to revitalize Downtown STL - Wash Ave. submitted by /u/Dangerous_Bonus5400 to r/StLouis [link] [comments]
