Indian singer and Stand-up comedian Abishek Kumar was among the major highlights of the 2026 Diwali Food Festival at Speke Resort Munyonyo, captivating revellers with a lively musical performance that added glamour to the annual celebration.Kumar’s performance was one of the evening’s entertainment highlights, as members of the Indian community, Ugandans, diplomats and other guests gathered to celebrate Diwali, the festival of lights, through music, food and cultural performances.The singer entertained the audience with a blend of Indian music, creating an energetic atmosphere as guests joined in the celebrations at the lakeside venue.The 2026 Diwali Food Festival, organised by the Indian Association of Uganda, brought together different communities to celebrate Indian culture and strengthen the longstanding friendship between Uganda and India.Beyond the musical performances, the festival showcased India’s rich culinary heritage, with a variety of traditional dishes representing different regions of the country.
