I built two free tools to help job seekers figure out where to focus next

I'm John, the founder of Second Summit, a job-search app I build through PharettaLabs in Alpharetta, Georgia. I started building it after seeing how much work goes into applying for jobs before you ever get a conversation: finding relevant roles, rewriting a resume, filling in the same details, and remembering to follow up. I've also been a hiring manager, so I know that more applications aren't automatically better applications. Alongside the broader app, I built two free tools: Job-search planner: a starting point for organizing the time you can put into your search. Application-funnel diagnostic: a way to look at your application and interview activity and think through where to focus next. They're here: https://secondsummit.ai/tools/ Second Summit also has paid features, including resume-to-role matching, resume tailoring, and application tracking. The tools above are free; I'm sharing them because I'd like feedback on whether they're useful on their own. For anyone who has recently searched for a job: would you start with a planner/diagnostic like this, or would you rather jump straight into working on a specific job and resume? What's the part of your process you'd most want a tool to help with? submitted by /u/515js [link] [comments]
