I work at a hospital in San Jose, California. I have four years of experience in the Philippines and four years of experience in the U.S., but only my U.S. experience was credited toward my pay-step placement. I spoke with my union representative, who said I should contact HR and that at least 50% of my prior experience may qualify for credit. Should I ask HR to review or reconsider my placement?
