I built an iOS app that turns your screen time into a literal bank account

Wait 5 sec.

Hey everyone. Like many of you, I struggled with mindless scrolling for hours. Every time I set up Apple’s built-in Screen Time limits, muscle memory kicked in: the moment the limit popped up, I would just hit "Ignore limit for 15 minutes" over and over until half my day was gone. The problem with standard blockers is that they lack real psychological friction. We ignore passive timers because there are no stakes. To fix this for myself, I built an iOS app called MyScroll: The Focus Bank. The core idea: treat your screen time like a debit card. Here’s how it works: -You get a daily budget of minutes loaded onto a digital card. -Every time you open a distracting app, you make a "withdrawal." -Once your budget hits zero, your card gets Transaction Declined via Face ID. There is no easy "ignore" button to bypass it. Changing the mental model from "wasting time" to "spending from an account that went bankrupt" completely broke my habit of mindlessly bypassing limits. The app is officially live on the App Store! To celebrate the launch, the Lifetime Pass is currently 50% off ($24.99 instead of $49.99). 📲 Download on App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/myscroll-screen-time-bank/id6816759224 However, I really want honest feedback from this community to keep improving the UX and features: submitted by /u/According-Spite7839 [link] [comments]
