The severe cyclonic storm Murasu crossed the coast of Andhra Pradesh early on Tuesday morning, causing heavy rainfall. It was recorded that Bapatla received significant rainfall of 222.4 mm among other areas in the state. Wind speeds reached up to 90 kmph, with gusts of 100 kmph reported. The cyclone is expected to weaken gradually throughout the day, becoming a deep depression by midnight.
