I'm not a programmer. In 8 months I shipped 5 Android apps with Claude Code. 150 installs, €0 earned. Here's what I learned

Wait 5 sec.

Background: I run a small agency, 6 years of WordPress, never built a real app. In March I started making Android apps by directing Claude Code instead of writing code myself. What I shipped: * Hush, a white noise mixer * Foliana, a writing app with a live word counter * Sorterra, a ball sort puzzle * Vialune, a water sort puzzle * Sumizen, a mahjong solitaire with a tray twist The honest numbers: * About 150 installs across all five * €0 earned so far * €0 spent on marketing What worked: one fresh Claude Code conversation per task, a written plan for every big change, and testing on a real phone after every step. Building turned out to be the easy part. What didn't: I thought good apps would find users on their own. They don't. Store listings, icons and screenshots mattered more than I expected, and I redid most of them. Now I'm learning marketing from zero, starting here. If you've been at this point, what actually got you your first 1,000 users? submitted by /u/Key_West_2246 [link] [comments]
