I was getting annoyed when restaurants would only accept one bill for the group, leaving us to do the math afterwards. The math can get complicated quickly when people order different things. Appetizers, drinks, desserts and on top of that, you have to figure out tax and tip. I used to open up excel to do the calculation but it was tedious work. So I made an app that lets you scan the receipt, assign who had what, and automatically split the bill into a breakdown you can share with friends. It's been about a year and a half since release. I've been fixing bugs and adding features in my free time, but I'm having trouble getting more downloads. I give users free credits when they first download the app and when they refer friends. After that, they can buy credits through an in-app purchase so you pay per use. To date, I've had 282 downloads. I'd love to get your feedback on the app and any advice on how to get more downloads and market it.
