I'm a dev in Haiti. My daughter (8) was struggling with times tables and my son (4) wanted to "play too", so I started building them a game in the evenings. It became Kalkil. What it does: - Math drills (+, −, ×, ÷) and a 60-second challenge - A section for ages 3–6: counting, colors, shapes, first reading - A parent area that shows what the child actually learned and what still needs work (like 7×8), plus a short practice set for exactly those - Kreyòl, French, English, Spanish The hard constraint was Haiti itself: slow or no internet and low-end Android phones. So it's an offline-first PWA, also wrapped as an Android app, light enough for cheap devices. Try it in any phone browser, no account needed: https://kalkil.pages.dev Would love feedback: - Anything confusing or broken on your phone? - What would make you trust a kids' app as a parent? Thanks! submitted by /u/steeve47 [link] [comments]
