Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Alex Baena and could be prepared to make a significant financial commitment to bring the Atletico Madrid midfielder to the Emirates. The Gunners view him as a player who could improve their squad and make an important contribution to Mikel Arteta’s team.Baena has established himself as an important player at Atletico Madrid, making a potential transfer difficult to complete. The Spanish club are unlikely to welcome the departure of a player they value, particularly with the January transfer window approaching and limited time to find a suitable replacement.Arsenal have maintained their interest in the midfielder and are expected to continue exploring the possibility of signing him. However, their efforts have now been complicated by the involvement of another major European club, increasing the competition for his signature.Bayern Munich enter the race for BaenaAccording to Fichajes, Bayern Munich are also interested in signing Baena and could pursue a move in the coming months. The German champions reportedly regard him as a player capable of strengthening their squad and would be prepared to compete for his services if an opportunity to sign him emerges.Bayern’s interest represents a challenge for Arsenal, who had been looking to make the midfielder part of Arteta’s plans. Both clubs could see him as a valuable addition, meaning any future transfer negotiations may involve considerable competition.Baena’s quality and experience in La Liga have made him an attractive option, but Atletico Madrid remain in a strong position to determine his immediate future. Arsenal will therefore need to remain patient if they are serious about securing his signature.(Photo by Mike Hewitt/Getty Images)Arsenal may have to wait until the summerA January departure is currently considered unlikely, meaning Arsenal may have to postpone their efforts until the end of the season. That would give the Gunners more time to assess their options and prepare a potential offer for the midfielder. However, waiting could also make the situation more complicated. If Baena becomes available during the summer, additional clubs could enter the race, giving Atletico Madrid several potential buyers to consider.Arsenal will need to remain committed to their interest if they want to compete for his signature. Bayern Munich’s involvement means the Gunners cannot assume they will be the only major club pursuing him when the next transfer window arrives._____________________________________________________________________________________________ADMIN COMMENTSo here are some simple rules which I must insist commenters follow….You agree not to give any personal abuse to other Arsenal fans.
