Shah Rukh Khan once revealed that he stayed away from Kashmir for years because his father had wanted to take him there himself. Despite travelling around the world, he kept refusing invitations to visit the Valley until Yash Chopra convinced him to go there while shooting Jab Tak Hai Jaan.
