Tiger attack on cattle triggers alert in Eluru district - The HinduPublished - August 30, 2026 09:08 pm IST - ELURUA tiger attacked cattle near the Devaragondi tribal habitation in the early hours of Sunday, prompting the Forest Department to sound an alert in nearby villages in Eluru district.Forest teams tracking the animal identified its movement near Udatapalli village in the Papikonda forests and in tribal habitations around the Polavaram project area.According to villagers, the tiger attacked cattle near Devaragondi village.Forest officials advised villagers not to venture into the forests to collect firewood or go to agricultural fields after dark.
