HFM has appointed Mohamed Elgayyar as Head of GCC and Egypt, adding another regional sales executive to its Middle East and North Africa structure. Elgayyar announced the move on LinkedIn, saying he had joined the broker to lead its business across Egypt and the Gulf Cooperation Council markets. The title separates Egypt from the GCC, which covers Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. In his announcement, Elgayyar said he looked forward to “driving growth, building strong partnerships, and taking our presence across MENA to the next level.” The post did not provide further details on staffing, product plans or country-level priorities for the new role.Sales Background across MENA Elgayyar describes himself as having more than 17 years of experience in the forex industry and financial markets investment in MENA, mainly in sales and customer relations roles. Before joining HFM, he worked as Regional Sales Manager at GODO for eight months, according to his LinkedIn profile. Earlier, he spent eight months at FxPro as Country Manager for Egypt. His public profile and earlier appointment notices also link him to previous regional roles across online trading and financial markets, with a focus on Egypt, North Africa and the wider MENA region. The new position gives HFM a dedicated executive for Egypt and the GCC cluster. For brokers operating in the region, these markets often require separate coverage because Egypt stays outside the Gulf bloc and has a different commercial and regulatory profile from the Gulf states.HFM Strengthens Regional Management Team The appointment follows several other HFM leadership moves in MENA. In December 2025, HFM promoted Michalis Papacostas to Regional Head for MENA. Finance Magnates previously reported that the company appointed Jean Nahas as Head of Category in the UAE, where he was set to lead the company’s newly established licensed entity and head its Dubai office. That appointment placed a senior executive in charge of the broker’s UAE operations, including business growth, compliance with local requirements and regional presence. Earlier, Finance Magnates also reported that Ahmad Qutaishat joined HFM as Senior Business Development Manager after holding sales roles at ATFX MENA, VT Markets and Equiti Group. Elgayyar’s appointment adds another market-focused role to that regional structure. HFM has not publicly disclosed additional operational targets for the GCC and Egypt remit alongside the LinkedIn announcement. This article was written by Tanya Chepkova at www.financemagnates.com.
