Freedom24, the European investment platform ofNasdaq-listed Freedom Holding Corp., is assessing Switzerland as a potentiallong-term market and is exploring a possible presence in Geneva.The potential Swiss expansion comes as Freedom24broadens its European financial-services strategy. Last month, the companyopened itsproprietary Tradernet platform to AI tools through the Model ContextProtocol and said it was pursuing a European banking licence. In June, Finance Magnates reported that Freedom24 wasexpanding beyond itstraditional brokerage model into a broader technology platform in Europe.The company said it served more than 600,000 clients across the EU and EEA andwas exploring a European banking licence as part of its expansion strategy.Freedom24 Assesses Switzerland Under MiFID FrameworkAlongside these developments, Freedom24 said it is evaluatingopportunities in private wealth management, digital financial infrastructure,artificial intelligence and data governance. It is also considering models thatcombine Switzerland’s relationship-based wealth management approach withtechnology developed by the wider Freedom Group.The assessment will draw on Freedom24’s existingEuropean infrastructure, including Tradernet, its proprietary investmentplatform, and Neo Compliance, an AI-based solution supporting compliance andrisk management.Freedom24 currently serves clients across the EU andEEA under its Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission licence and the MiFIDII framework.Geneva Seen as Technology Integration BaseEvgenii Tiapkin, CEO of Freedom24, said Switzerland’sestablished financial sector was a factor in the company’s interest in themarket. “Switzerland has long been a benchmark for private wealth management,institutional discipline, and work based on client trust,” he said.Tiapkin said Geneva could provide a base for combiningthose capabilities with the group’s existing technology. “Geneva is a logicallocation to explore how these strengths can be combined with our technologiesand operational experience in Europe,” he added.As part of the assessment, Freedom24 said it plans toengage with Swiss financial, technology and scientific communities.Any future operations would require the necessaryregulatory authorisations.
