Most of Israel's desalination facilities remain offline

After operating overnight, most of Israel’s desalination facilities were shut down on Tuesday morning due to increased seawater turbidity. The Hadera desalination facility was operational on Tuesday morning, while the other facilities in Ashkelon, Ashdod, Palmachim, Sorek A and Sorek B were once again offline. This follows the partial resumption of operations at the Sorek A and Sorek B facilities overnight.At this stage, there has been no change to the guidelines for the general public, except for those concerning public landscaping. Irrigation of public landscaping has been suspended in southern Israel.
