By Mulengera ReportersThrough the Omutume David Kabanda (also Kasambya County MP in Mubende), Uganda’s ruling establishment has this Tuesday declared that Gen YK Museveni will soon cease to be President-and his son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the current Chief of Defense Forces (CDF), will be taking over. The news was proclaimed at Gen MK’s private office in the leafy Nakasero suburb before a large team of jubilant PLU supporters who included Ministers, MPs and a delegation of LC3 Chairpersons from Muwanga Kivumbi’s home district of Butambala. As David Kabanda explained the new dawn that will soon be upon Uganda, the crowd of cheerleaders chorused “bye-bye corruption, this isn’t going to be the end of corruption in Uganda.” Kabanda explained that Gen MK has always been despised in his things but such cynics will soon eat their words. He recalled how he was originally dismissed as a mere self-seeker when he announced that Parliament was going to have a new Speaker. Kabanda said he actually was seated at Anita Among’s Nakasero residence-in the presence of the former Speaker and her husband Moses Magogo-when Gen MK sent him a text message saying “we are going to change the Speaker.” He said he was shocked and felt nervous before telling Anita Among he had an emergency to go and attend to. Kabanda then drove out of Anita Among’s residence. He said this originally seemed like a joke but today, its clear Parliament has a new Speaker and it’s not Anita Among. Kabanda recalled how senior MPs who come from the President’s birth place of Ankole privately reached out and cautioned him to avoid Gen MK immediately after he had been removed from the office of Commander land forces. That such MPs told him Gen MK wanted to topple the President and was soon going to be arrested for plotting to topple his own father. He risked being arrested and locked up along with Gen MK. Kabanda said he stood his ground and that is why today he is the right person through whom MK and Gen Museveni continue proclaiming such important messages to the country. He advised those wanting to doubt his words to do so at their own peril. He said that even on this occasion, he had been instigated and sent by Gen MK to come and announce his imminent ascendance to the Presidency. Kabanda said Gen MK believes the time has come for him to heed the calls of millions of young Ugandans and offer himself for the position of President.“I know some of you senior leaders are still in shock and can’t believe what you are hearing but it’s okay. You can take your time and go first think about it. The door will remain open because it’s understandable, people don’t immediately agree to confess Jesus Christ as their savior. You are free to go and think about it first before getting on board,” declared Kabanda as he waved a huge book containing the Gen MK endorsement forms. “Our target is to raise a minimum of 19m signatures so that those who are against our leader won’t be out there saying they have stolen the vote.”Kabanda called on Ugandans, and more so senior leaders of the Movement, not to be afraid of embracing the Gen MK caravan because this is something the President had endorsed and agreed upon with his son. “The President is fully with us and behind this program. He is indeed going to be the chief campaigner for the MK program. Our leader is going to become the new President with the full support of the President himself. There is no contradiction between the President and my Chairman Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba,” Kabanda said as a large crowd of supporters chanted “Muhoozi yakimala [he is the man who gets things done].” Kabanda then announced the program to officially launch a massive campaign which will culminate into Gen MK assuming the Presidency not in a so distant future. He waved books which Gen MK had given him to use in all the 146 districts of Uganda. Kabanda said there would be committees to coordinate and roll out the MK endorsement rallies in all the 146 districts of Uganda. These rallies are commencing immediately as the country counts down to 2031. During those mobilization events, Ugandans will be rallied to sign in the MK endorsement books making it clear they are more than prepared to vote and welcome Gen MK to State House come 2031. Endorsement rallies will be held in all the 146 districts of Uganda and Kabanda said that his boss Gen MK wants not less than 90% of the vote.
