She sounds like a contrarian, in addition to her other “quirks”. I had a friend like that, who only became more contrarian the longer I knew her. There were other, more off-putting aspects of our relationship that made me end the friendship (more like just moved away and didn’t stay in contact), but she was so exhausting to be around when she argued with everything I said, and had an excuse to refute every suggestion. I will never willingly tolerate such nonsense again in my life.
