—–Writes Bill Madden: Andrew Wallace’s article makes a strong case for, once again, making the Constitution the supreme law of the land..The Constitution was created by prescient American leaders hundreds of years ago. They designed it to keep our central government weak to preserve the freedom of the people. Our country was built on the god-given rights of “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” for the people. It was as though they had learned from history that powerful humans would one day attempt to enslave the people and assume control of our country to manage it for their benefit exclusively. These powerful humans would, in essence, use the money and blood of the masses to control us domestically and to conquer the world..They were correct. Our Constitution has been shredded and is only provided occasional lip service by politicians and bureaucrats who have been conditioned by money to disregard it. Our dollar is unconstitutional, the Federal Reserve Bank is unconstitutional, all of our undeclared wars since WW II are unconstitutional, the corporate welfare of foreign aid is unconstitutional, any other corporate welfare is unconstitutional, our excessive social welfare is unconstitutional. In addition to other unconstitutional activities and legislation, most of our current government agencies are unconstitutional. We did not protect the gift of freedom that we were given..A fine example of constitutional disregard are the many dictatorial actions by President Trump. Our current war with Iran on behalf of Israel is unconstitutional as were our many wars in the Middle East preceding our attack on Iran. We are a broken, financially insolvent nation with a crumbling Main Street supporting a prosperous Wall Street. Our future is bleak at best. We are to blame..One minor point concerning Andrew’s call for a return to the Constitution, I feel as though the Coup of 1913 might have been the death blow for our Constitution but it was originally disregarded by President Lincoln when the Southern states were not allowed to secede from the Union in the 1860s. Instead of powerful states (countries at that time) supporting a relatively weak central government, we now have an all-powerful central government using money to control the states. The powerful humans who now control our country have only one government to dominate instead of having to control fifty states.
