The Perfection Series: S1 FastMicro E-mini Nasdaq-100 Index FuturesCME_MINI:MNQ1!SidgateTrading Philosophy: Correct Forces + Correct Mechanics + Correct Structure + Correct Logic = Correct Trade Forces: create mechanics Mechanics: create structure Structure: activates logic Logic: validates/invalidates the trade Forces = pressures that drive the hinge to form Mechanics = what's happening Structure = the form it takes i.e. the 15s micro hinge Logic = the consequences - the atomic IF-THEN logic chain Forces: * buyers pushing up - initiative pressure * sellers pushing down - responsive pressure * stop clusters at shelves - liquidity concentration * trapped traders - imbalanced inventory * narrowing ranges - volatility compression * NY Open - timing pressure * MNQ/NQ bullish tendency at the Open - directional bias * one side runs out of fuel - order-flow exhaustion Forces = underlying drivers. Forces = auction pressures that cause the hinge to form. Mechanics: * price behavior - OHLC * volume behavior - effort vs results * sweep behavior - penetration & rejection * reclaim behavior - return inside value range * micro-swings - impulse vs response * timing - NY Open volatility * bar count = 15s sequencing Mechanics = raw data. Mechanics = observable facts. Structure - 15s micro hinge: * floor * reclaim * apex shelf * lip shelf * lip * break Structure = mechanics organized into a pattern the auction recognizes. Logic: *IF sweep THEN reclaim *IF reclaim THEN break *IF break THEN setup is valid Logic = atomic IF-THEN sequence. Logic = deterministic, falsifiable & executable. All OHM trades are written from buy-to-open perspective. Bears flip the script. All OHM times are ET (New York). All OHM trades are from a 15s candlestick chart. All entries are lip pullback entries. Thirteen trades comprise the OHM. The first is the S1 Fast. S1 Fast Criteria: Timing: - Must occur between 09:30:00 and 09:45:00 ET. - Anything at 09:45:01 and thereafter does not qualify. Bar Count: - Minimum of two bars. - Maximum of four bars. Bar Count begins with the 09:30:00 bar. Its high is the lip. Its low is the floor. IF there is a close lower than the low of the 09:30:00 bar before the lip is broken THEN the Bar Count resets to that bar (i.e. the bar with the lower close). NOTE: "lip is broken" doesn't mean a poke above the lip. It means a close above the lip. IF the Bar Count resets THEN the high of the reset bar becomes the new lip, and its low is the new floor. The OHM is a decision-engine comprised of the above-named four factors. It is a structured, deterministic, rule-based trading system that evaluates auction microstructure in real time. It is a structured decision tree that produces trade signals when conditions are met. Simply stated: IF sweep THEN reclaim IF reclaim THEN break IF break THEN setup is valid. As stated above all trades are pullback lip entries. In reality the S1 Fast is so fast that it is hard to catch a lip pullback. Here is how I really trade it: Pre-Open Tell - 09.25.00 - 09.29.59 * eyes locked on PX behavior * PX sideways * micro balance forms * highs and lows compress * volatility tightens * initiative pressure pauses * responsive pressure stabilizes Pre-load behavior protocol: * identify the high of the micro balance. * type in a buy-to-open order 20-30 points above the high * do not submit the order * finger poised over entry key * wait for the first 15s bar to fully form and close Trigger Condition (1st 15s bar) * IF the first 15S bar sweeps THEN reclaims * IF reclaim THEN submit order. * IF the first 15s bar shows initiative THEN submit order. Sometimes it has no lower wick. It just blasts off. S1 Fast is: *extremely compressed. *extremely initiative *often wickless *often instantaneous It's the hardest of the thirteen OHM trades to catch a lip pullback entry.
