By Mulengera ReportersUpon being informed by the Queen Mother Best Kemigisa that her son had been diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer (of the brain aka glioblastoma multiforme), Gen Museveni, magnanimous as always, ordered the release of the money required to have Tooro King Oyo quickly accessed to the best treatment in the world. That’s how the fallen Tooro King, who breathed his last on Friday at the age of 34, was evacuated initially to Germany and later on US where he died from. This was after months of hospitalization. President Museveni, being one of the guardians of Oyo who become King when he was just 3 years old, personally relayed this information to the country through his social media platforms. He went on to proclaim an official burial for the King, which basically means government having to meet all burial-related expenses. Convinced that money was going to be available to ensure that the illustrious son of Uganda, that Oyo had been, gets a befitting send off, the Kingdom quickly put together a organizing committee. The funeral organizing committee of the Kingdom has already come up with a budget according to which the government of Gen Museveni has to part with slightly more than Shs1.7bn to meet all the burial expenses. Gratefully, we have a copy of the budget and we hereby share the same to accompany this little story: (For comments on this story, get back to us on 0705579994 [WhatsApp line], 0779411734 & 041 4674611 or email us at mulengeranews@gmail.com).
