Shawn Mifsud has successfully completed a 1.2-kilometre open water swim in St Paul’s Bay, raising funds for Puttinu Cares.The challenge saw Mifsud swim from the St Paul’s Islands to Gillieru Bay, completing the journey in just over an hour.The Armed Forces of Malta supported Mifsud throughout the challenge, with a P-06 vessel from its Gozo Command serving as the official support vessel.The AFM transported Mifsud and his support team to the starting point before accompanying him throughout the swim to ensure his safety and provide assistance when required.An AFM rescue swimmer also joined Mifsud in the water for the entire challenge.After reaching Gillieru Bay, Mifsud was welcomed by family and friends who celebrated his achievement.The AFM congratulated Mifsud and encouraged the public to contribute to his fundraising campaign, with proceeds going towards Puttinu Cares and its work supporting patients and their families.Photos Facebook: Armed Forces of Malta•
