It is something we’re kind of used to now. Players move around quite a bit these days, and you have to hit the ground running.“I thought all the boys that arrived over the summer looked really good and we looked sharp. I thought it was a good, clinical and professional performance [against Charlton]. The boys we have got in there, they all bring a lot of quality to this team and I am really looking forward to seeing how it pans out.”Davies insists Spurs players are now well-versed in De Zerbi’s systemThe Tottenham boss has had a full pre-season to get his ideas across to the squad, and Davies admitted that the players have really enjoyed working with the Italian.The Wales international hailed De Zerbi for the clarity of his tactics and revealed that the patterns of play expected by the Italian have now been imbibed by the squad.When asked how he has found working with the Italian, Davies said: “It’s really impressive. It’s obviously great to be involved in the day-to-day and to see him work. It is not just about the patterns we learn or how we want to play, but you really have to learn it, and then it becomes second nature to you on the pitch, and you see different pictures that perhaps you wouldn’t have seen before.
