It is getting hard to find a Walt Disney World Resort hotel without a construction wall somewhere on it.That is not an exaggeration. Between routine maintenance cycles, deferred work catching up, and larger reimagining projects, a remarkable number of Disney hotels currently have scaffolding, scrim, or an alternate walking path somewhere on property. Crescent Lake and the monorail loop have both seen sustained activity. The BoardWalk has been rebuilding its entertainment district after years of closures. Yachtsman Steakhouse just came back from a fifteen-week refurbishment at Disney’s Yacht Club.Guests planning trips right now are learning to check for construction notices the same way they check park hours.And there is a new one to add to the list.Disney’s Beach Club Resort has another refurbishment underway, this one affecting a space every single guest passes through. Guests may see or hear work in the area during daytime hours until the refurbishment is complete.Late 2027 is a long runway. Anyone booking Beach Club between now and then should go in expecting some level of visible work, and should understand that room views specifically may be affected.That is the piece most likely to actually bother guests. A construction wall in a hallway is an inconvenience. During that closure, direct bus transportation ran from Disney’s Beach Club Resort to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and guests heading to EPCOT used the walkways to the International Gateway. Given the timing, that closure should be wrapping up or already complete, but it is worth confirming before you rely on boat service.Looking further ahead, the Disney Skyliner will be closed for refurbishment from January 24 through January 30, 2027. Complimentary bus service will be available during that window.For guests who plan around walking and boats rather than buses, those are the two dates to have on your radar.Why Beach Club Is Still Worth ItNone of this changes what makes this resort one of the most requested on property.Disney’s Beach Club Resort is a New England-style deluxe hotel on Crescent Lake, sharing many amenities with its more formal sister property, Disney’s Yacht Club Resort.The headline amenity is Stormalong Bay, which is consistently ranked as the best resort pool at Walt Disney World. It is a sand-bottomed complex with pools, lagoons, and spas, exclusive to Yacht and Beach Club guests. That alone drives a huge share of bookings.The location is the other draw. Beach Club is within walking distance of EPCOT via the International Gateway entrance, placing guests near the United Kingdom and France pavilions. That is a serious advantage for rope dropping Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and it means you can walk back to your room mid-day without waiting for transportation.The International Gateway also has a Skyliner station that connects to Hollywood Studios and several other resorts.
